How long we keep data
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project: no longer than 12 months after our last communication, after which we delete them.
- Projects: for the duration of the contract and then for as long as claims under the contract may be asserted (usually 3 years after it ends).
- Accounting records: for the period required by law (usually 10 years).
- Traffic data: our hosting provider processes IP addresses to compile the statistics and keeps technical access logs only for as long as necessary. We only see aggregated figures that do not identify individual visitors.
Who has access to your data
Only the people at our company who communicate with you or work on your project have access to your data. The following processors also handle data on our behalf:
- website hosting and traffic measurement provider – based in the USA, certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework
- e-mail service provider – based in the Czech Republic, with servers in the Czech Republic
- contact form delivery provider – based in the EU, with servers in the EU
- accountant – billing details only, for the purpose of bookkeeping
All processors are contractually bound to protect your data and to use it only for our purposes.
Transfers outside the EEA: our hosting provider is based in the USA, so when you visit the website or send us a message through the form, your IP address, technical data and the content of your message may be processed outside the EEA. These transfers are covered by the provider’s certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection. Apart from this, we do not transfer personal data outside the EEA. We do not enter your personal data into the AI tools we use in development unless we agree otherwise with you.
Cookies and traffic measurement
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, so we do not ask for your consent.
We measure traffic using Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by our hosting provider. This tool:
- does not use cookies or local storage on your device,
- does not build a profile of you or track you across websites,
- only shows us aggregated statistics that do not identify individual visitors.
We use the data only in aggregate – for example, how many people visited the website and which pages they read.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we process about you and receive a copy of it,
- have inaccurate data corrected,
- request erasure of your data if we no longer need it or are not allowed to process it,
- request restriction of processing,
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest,
- receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability).
To make a request, write to us at info@earentech.com. We will respond without undue delay and within one month at the latest (in complex cases, the GDPR allows this period to be extended by up to two further months).
If you believe we are mishandling your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 727/27, 170 00 Prague 7, Czech Republic, uoou.gov.cz).
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
